Campaigns for Social and Political Transformations in Armenia and Georgia

On December 9-11, 2016, the South Caucasus Regional Office of the hbs hosted 28 people from Georgia, Armenia, Germany, and Turkey in Tbilisi within the frameworks of its annual Green Academy – Fall Session. The 3-day event aimed to introduce young green activists from Georgia and Armenia to alternative, small-scale, forms of campaigning.

Green Prospects in the Youth Political Activism in Armenia and Georgia

On March 22-24, 2016, the Heinrich Boell Foundation held Green Academy Spring Session - “Green Prospects in the Youth Political Activism in Armenia and Georgia“. The programme covered a wide range of issues within the discourse of Green politics and offered diverse food for thought.

On August 2-8, 2015 the South Caucasus Regional Office of the Heinrich Boell Foundation hosted 55 people from Georgia, Armenia, Germany, Croatia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Turkey and Russia in Tskhaltubo town (Georgia) in the frameworks of its newly initiated Green Academy.

About the Academy

In 2015 the South Caucasus Regional Office of the hbs launched the Green Academy with an aim to develop a regional platform for young activists, journalists, scientists and politicians for interaction and cooperation on issues related to sustainable development policies, promote principles and values of sustainable and green politics in issues related to economic, social and political development of the South Caucasus societies, and stimulate public discussions on mentioned principles and values.
