In order to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of the South Caucasus Regional Office of the Heinrich Boell Foundation, Ellen Ueberschär, the President of the Heinrich Boell Foundation, and Walter Kaufmann, the Head of the Eastern Europe Department, visited Tbilisi and Yerevan on July 4-7.
On July 12-16, 2017, Ms Rebecca Harms, member of the European Parliament, visited Georgia. Ms Harms participated in the conference “European Way of Georgia” held in Batumi, and also held meetings with representatives of the civil society organizations, media and political parties in Tbilisi.
Mr. Cem Özdemir, National Chairman of the Bündnis 90/Die Grünen (German Green Party) and Member of the German Bundestag visited Armenia on March 11-14, 2015 where he held high level talks with politicians and civil society representatives among others.
Viola von Cramon-Taubadel was hosted by the Heinrich Boell Foundation South Caucasus Regional Office at its traditional public debates on Septemer 17, 2012: “The Electoral Challenges for Georgia’s Democratic Development: Test for the Efficiency of the European Neighborhood Policy”.
Dr. Franziska Thun-Hohenstein is a senior fellow at the Berlin Centre of the Literature and Culture Research. She works in the area of Slavic Studies and leads "Europe-East" program unit of the Centre since 2008. In frames of the latter she is the head of the project: "Aporeia of the Forced Modernization: Figures of the National in Soviet Empire".
