Research topic: Good" and "Bad" Armenians: Representation of the Karabakh Conflict in Azerbaijani Literature
Leyla Sayfutdinova was born in Baku in 1978. In 2001, she graduated from the Department of Law of Baku State University. In the same year, she entered the Conflict Studies Programme at the Department of Philosophy of St. Petersburg State University. She completed this programme with honours in 2004. Her research interests include: ethnicity, ethnic conflict, nation building and nationalism. She has been involved in conflict resolution projects of the Institute of Peace and Democracy (Baku, Azerbaijan), and in the Children’s Tolerance education Programme by Save the Children (Azerbaijan).
