Teona Aslanishvili was born on 6th of December, 1983. She holds Bachelor’s degree in psychology (2004) and Master’s degree in psycho-diagnostics (2006) from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. In 2002-2003, as a fellow of the Eurasia Undergraduate Program, Teona studied International Studies and Psychology in Syracuse University (NY, USA).

Since December 2005 Teona has been working in “Save the Children” Georgia Country Office for the Rebuilding Lives Project. The project aims at promoting physical, cognitive, emotional, and psychosocial well-being of street children and other vulnerable children in Georgia by direct service provision and advocating for children’s rights on the policy level.

Teona’s research experience covers areas related to personality assessment and various street children issues. In the framework of the Heinrich Böll Foundation grant, Teona’s research topic is “Social Dominance and Aggression in Adolescents”. The research envisages analysis of Social Dominance Orientation in street and community children, comparing patterns of their aggressive behavior, and exploring relationship between the two constructs.
