Kristine was born in Tbilisi in 1980. From 1997-2003, she studied at Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in the department of Fine Arts History and Theory. Nowadays she is a Ph.D. student at the Chair of History of Art and since 2005, Kristina works as a lecturer at the State Academy of Arts. Kristina works in the field of Georgian Painting of the 1920-ies. She also is the author of various articles on this topic.

As a Heinrich-Böll-Foundation scholarship holder she is carrying out research related to the role of Georgian women artists at the beginning of the last century. Kristina’s research project is titled “Georgian Painting of the 1920-ies - Unknown Women Artists”.
