The South Caucasus Regional Office of the Heinrich Boell Foundation implements its Regional Scholarship Programme since 2003. The Programme gives an opportunity to social scientists from three South Caucasus countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia) to work during one year on interdisciplinary projects in contemporary history, sociology and urban development.
In January 2011, HBF conducted an evaluation of the scholarship programme. One of the recommendations given by the evaluator was to convene a conference with the participation of program experts, HBF partners, friends, current scholars and alumni to evaluate the 8-years phase of the programme implementation and discuss perspectives of its further continuation.
The HBF plans to announce the renewed programme in September 2012. Successful applicants will begin to work on their projects by January 2013.
The HBF thanks its partners, friends, alumni, current fellows and interested individuals for interest in the programme and invites everyone to follow further information/announcement in the Septmber, 2012.
