The Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center – EMC is a membership-based organization, founded in November 2012 by human rights activists of different backgrounds. It engages young professionals, who have had valuable experience in different fields protecting human rights. EMC strives to teach, report on, and advocate for human rights via empowering young human rights activists, and involving them in their work, and responding effectively to actual social, economic and policy issues related to human rights protection.

Within the frames of the EU-funded project Solidarity Network for LGBTI in Armenia and Georgia, EMC will manage components of the situational assessment on LGBTI people’s conditions in Georgia, conduct capacity development trainings for LGBTI organizations/activists, as well as capacity building trainings for law-enforcement agencies, and meetings with relevant law-enforcement officials, in Georgia. EMC will also provide legal expertise throughout the duration of the action.
