Luca Sára Bródy graduated as a sociologist-economist at Corvinus University of Budapest, and was trained as an urban sociologist at the University of Amsterdam. She defended her doctoral degree at Gran Sasso Science Institute in L’Aquila, Italy. Her dissertation focused on the political economy of citizen participation in urban regeneration, carrying out fieldwork during a visiting stay at the University of Barcelona and at Central European University in Budapest. On a broader level, she is interested in the dynamics of possible action against the structural constraints of urban policy-making.
