The FAGUS (Facilitation of Policy Dialogue for Better Forest Governance) project aims to enhance forest governance in Georgia by fostering policy dialogue, conducting comprehensive assessments, and building the capacity of various stakeholders. The project will utilize the Indicator Framework developed by the World Resources Institute’s Governance of Forests Initiative (GFI) to evaluate forest governance reforms thoroughly. Through this process, the project seeks to strengthen stakeholder capacities and advocate for policy improvements. Key activities include drafting policy documents, engaging with relevant stakeholders, and developing specific recommendations for improving forest governance in Georgia.
