Alvard Grigoryan was born in June 1972 in Stepanakert. She lived in Nagorno-Karabakh until September 2023. She received higher education in Armenia as a teacher of fine arts and drawing, designer, cartoonist, photojournalist, journalist. She is a member of the Union of Artists of Armenia and NK and a member of the Stepanakert Press Club. Since 2009 Alvard has been a correspondent for the Caucasian Knot news agency. She also cooperates with the Armenian electronic publications Azat Artsakh, Step1 and the Centre for Media Initiatives of Armenia.
