Anahit Aleqyan is a teacher of Mathematics and Informatics. She graduated from Yerevan State University, Faculty of Applied Mathematics in 1979. Worked at the Pozistor factory in Abovyan city as a programmer (1979-1986). Since 1994, she has been working as a teacher of Mathematics at Charentsavan Secondary School No. 6, and later as a teacher of Informatics. Now she also works as a teacher of Informatics at Charentsavan Basic School No. 5.

She was a member of the Helsinki Citizens' Assembly- Charentsavan office and the Association of Women with University Education.
