
Eviya Hovhannisyan joined the South Caucasus Regional Office of Heinrich Boell Foundation in September 2019 as Yerevan Branch Project Coordinator.
Eviya graduated from European University at Saint-Petersburg (Russia) and holds a Master degree in Social Anthropology. She also completed the Master's program in Medieval Studies at Yerevan State University (Armenia).
She has been a Visiting Fellow within Ira.urban project at the Leibnitz Institute for Regional Geography (Germany) in 2015. Before joining the Heinrich Boell Foundation, Eviya worked at the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts - Matenadaran and at the Centre for Independent Social Research in Saint-Petersburg. Eviya’s research interests lie in the intersection of memory studies, nationalism and conflict studies, migration and refugee studies, as well as gender studies.
