Pinar has a BA degree on Political Science and International Relations from Marmara University; MA degree on Political Science and International Relations from Bogazici University; and MS degree on Comparative Politics from London School of Economics, for which she obtained the Jean Monnet Scholarship. She conducted her PhD research with an Erasmus scholarship at the Freie University Berlin, and is currently a PhD candidate at Marmara University, working on European Union Politics and International Relations. Pinar worked at the department of International Relations at Okan University as a Research Assistant between 2007 and 2015. Since 2015, she has been working as the Turkey Director for the Imagine Center for Conflict Transformation, and Turkey Editor for its publication; Caucasus Edition. She also works as a freelance researcher and consultant. She is the co¬founder of Roman Medya, which was founded through winning the Humanity in Action grant competition, and aims to strengthen the strategic communication capacities of Roma NGOs, and raise awareness of the society for Roma issues. Pinar is also a 2016 HIA Pat Cox Fellow. Her main area of interest is the rights dimension of ethnic politics especially in Europe, South Caucasus, and Turkey.
