Salomé Jashi is a documentary filmmaker from Georgia. She is the chairperson and co-founder of Documentary Association Georgia (DOCA Georgia). She produces her films through Sakdoc Film, which she co-founded in 2008.

Salomé Jashi studied documentary filmmaking at Royal Holloway, University of London, where she completed MA in Documentary by Practice [2006]. She was educated in journalism completing BA at Tbilisi State University [2002] and MA at Georgian Institute of Public Affairs [2003].

Salomé Jashi’s Taming the Garden [2021] premiered at Sundance Film Festival's World Cinema Documentary Competition and Berlinale Forum and was nominated for the European Film Awards. The film was released in cinemas in UK, Germany, Switzerland and the United States. 

Her earlier work The Dazzling Light of Sunset [2016] was awarded at Visions du Réel as well as at Jihlava IFF, FIC Valdivia, Zagrebdox, etc. Her mid-length Bakhmaro [2011] was nominated for the Asia Pacific Screen Awards and Silver Eye Awards after premiering at DOK Leipzig. Her producing work How the Room Felt [2021] premiered at IDFA's main competition.
