Tamar Charkviani was born on February 10th, 1981 in Tbilisi. In 1998 she graduated from the Independent Robakidze University “Alma Mater” in Tbilisi, where she obtained a degree in journalism. In 1999-2003 she studied sociology at the I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology and was conferred a Bachelor degree. At present she is a master’s student of the TSU, specializing in social theory.

Tamar Charkviani has taken part in various student conferences. Her special interest is dedicated to theories of rule of law and problems connected with legal awareness.
