ZOLYAN, MIKAYEL - Experts

Mikayel Zolyan is historian and political analyst from Yerevan (Armenia). Currently, he teaches at V. Brusov Yerevan State Linguistic University and works as an expert at Yerevan Press Club NGO in Yerevan.

Mikayel Zolyan has graduated from Yerevan State University (Armenia) and Central-European University in Budapest (Hungary); he has also been a visiting scholar at the University of California (Berkeley, CA, USA) and the University of California (Los Angeles, CA, USA).

Mikayel Zolyan’s research interests include issues of nationalism and ethnicity, ethno-political conflict, democratization processes and social movements. Mikayel Zolyan is the author of number of articles published both in Armenia and abroad (see the list). He is also an alumnus of Heinrich Boell Foundation South Caucasus regional scholarship program.
