The aim of the meeting was on the one hand, to reflect on the outcomes of the scholarship programme, and on the other hand, to discuss how the Foundation can work with scholarship programme alumni within the frameworks of its main programme priorities.
The participants of the meeting outlined that the scholarship programme played an important role for their professional development as well as for establishing personal contacts. According to them, the Heinrich Boell Foundation created a platform where young scientists, living in the South Caucasus, had an opportunity to exchange views with each other and also see how interesting the process of scientific research could be.
Members of the alumni network think that the Scholarship programme should continue in future. For this, it is necessary that former scholarship holders gather once again and brainstorm how the new scholarship programme should look like and which actual problems should it respond to.
