Final Results of the Call for Project Proposals for 2015/2016

The South Caucasus Regional Office of the Heinrich Boell Foundation (HBF SC) received 185 applications from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia in frameworks of the Call for Project Proposals for the Year of 2015/2016. Project proposal were dealt in three phases. Firstly, evaluation based on three criteria – technical aspects of the proposal, organizational capacities of the applicant organization, and cost effectiveness of the proposal – took place. As a result 28 applications were shortlisted based on these criteria. Secondly, shortlisted applicants had been contacted with detailed comments and feedback on their respective proposals with suggestion to improve them. Thirdly, as a result of close cooperation and communication among the HBF SC and shortlisted applicants, 9 project proposals had been selected for further proceedings with the prospects of their funding in 2015 and 2016.

As for division of proposals selected for final decision in relevance to the HBF SC thematic fields, the picture is as follows:

  • Urban and Sustainable Development: 4 proposals
  • Gender Democracy: 2 proposals
  • Rethinking Soviet Past: 3 proposals

The HBF SC deeply appreciates high interest of the South Caucasus civil society organizations who applied in frames of the Call for Project Proposals for the Year of 2015/2016 and looks forward to launching new initiatives in 2015 and 2016.
