Heinrich Boell Foundation Yerevan Office-South Caucasus Region in cooperation with “Boon” Scientific-Cultural Foundation launches a new project called “Reaffirming the Democratic and Civic Values in Post-COVID-19 and Post-War Armenia”.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the war in the Nagorno-Karabakh in 2020 resulted in socioeconomic, political and worldview crises in Armenia. Democratic and civic values, visions and beliefs of the Armenian society were shaken as a result. However, these ideas should remain being the cornerstones of the Armenian development.
The main goal of the project is to stir up a public discussion on the aforementioned issues, as well as to rethink and reaffirm these values and notions.
A TV program “Nevertheless” will be developed during the project. It will consist of 10 parts and will have a format of a conversation/discussion between two experts. Each program will refer to a significant issue that needs reconsideration in the post-war Armenia. The format will provide a space for analytical and critical think allowing the experts to express their thoughts and raise new questions.
As a result, the disputed values will be rethought and reaffirmed which, in its turn, will bring an opportunity for new discourses in the long-run perspective.
