The aim of the project is to promote sustainable and coherent peace policy and human rights application in conflict regions through open discussions on the potential impact and mechanisms of European integration and a preliminary study of human rights situation in Abkhazia, involving relevant local and international actors from both sides of conflict.

Project Objectives:

Objective 1: Stimulate an inclusive public and political discourse to explore the implications of Georgia’s European Integration for conflict transformation and peace policy, particularly in response to the EU's decision to grant Georgia EU candidate status.

Objective 2: Advocate for the protection of human rights in Abkhazia through a thorough assessment of human rights violations in the region and active engagement with both the Georgian and EU authorities.

Within the framework of the project, Social Justice Center will study how the European integration process can improve Georgia's peace policy and analyze these issues with the involvement of experts and representatives of political parties. In addition, political groups and society will be informed about the human rights situation in Abkhazia, and initiatives and recommendations will be presented the state and international actors.
