The knowledge about the critical theory of law in Georgia is minimal. Specifically, none of the disciplines offered at the law faculties of Georgian universities are, even partially, grounded in texts emanating from the perspective of critical legal theory. Critical legal theory is simply ignored, leaving individuals desiring to explore alternatives beyond traditional legal frameworks bereft of access to pertinent academic knowledge. Moreover, there is no systematic course even outside the university (informal educational system), where a person would consistently receive information about the basic concepts of critical legal theory in case of interest.
The aim of the project is to disseminate critical legal knowledge among Georgian youth and activists so that they are well-equipped to effectively address the challenges posed by the crisis of democracy in Georgia.
