Feyzi Ismail has degrees in Philosophy and Social Policy, and completed her PhD in Development Studies at SOAS, where she now teaches. Her research interests include NGOs and social movements, alternatives to neoliberalism and imperialism, and politics and development in Nepal and South Asia. She has published her work in various academic journals and critical websites. She is a contributor to The Assault on Universities: A Manifesto for Resistance, and played a leading role in the student movement of 2010. She is active in the anti-austerity and anti-war movements in Britain.
