Ana Lolua is a PhD researcher in the field of Eastern European History (Lehmann-Haupt Doctoral Program) at Ilia State University and the University of Göttingen. In her ongoing research "The Soviet and the National in the history exhibitions of Georgian State Museum from the 1930's until the 1980's" Lolua looks at discussions on Nationality on the example of history exhibitions in Soviet Georgia. Going beyond historical actors involved in the process, she looks at material dimensions of knowledge production through artifacts using the methodology of history of science, ethnography, and museum studies. Ana Lolua completed MA program in Nationalism studies with distinctions at Central European University (Budapest). She also holds MA degree from College of Europe (Natolin) in the field of European Interdisciplinary Studies. Lolua's academic and research interests include history of material culture, gender and nationalism, history of science in the Soviet Union and postcolonial museum.
