Kety Gujaraidze

Kety Gujaraidze has over 20 years of experience in environmental protection. For the past 15 years she worked at the Georgian non-governmental environmental organization Green Alternative as a policy analyst. In addition to analytic work, she often develops and/or manages implementation of projects, and participates in activities directed at competence development of various actors. Her key qualification include: environmental governance, environmental policy, environmental management tools, impact assessment tools, public participation, and community mobilization. Kety has been involved in monitoring and assessing extracting industries performance in Georgia and national mining policies for more than 10 years.
In addition to her current work at non-governmental organization, she has experience of working at public institutions of Georgia; she served several years to the office of the Parliamentary Committee on Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, and Environmental Policy Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources.
Kety Gujaraidze graduated from the Tbilisi State University, Department of Human Geography, with the MSc degree in Management of Natural Resources (1994). Later, in 2001, she was also awarded MSc degree in Environmental Policy and Management at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) of Lund University, Sweden.
