Lina Ghvinianidze obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University in 2008. She later earned a Master's Degree in Democratic Governance and Rule of Law from Ohio Northern University in 2011. In 2019, she pursued an MA in Development and Human Rights at Swansea University in the UK through the Chevening Scholarship.
Lina Ghvinianidze co-founded the Social Justice Center, an organization dedicated to promoting social justice and human rights. She led the center and its Social Rights Program from 2013 to 2022. She has authored and supervised numerous publications spanning topics such as Social Justice, Social Rights, Labor and Social Policy, Green Politics, Homelessness, Disability Rights and Resistance Movements.
In 2022, Lina began her Ph.D. program in Social and Cultural Anthropology at Ilia State University. Her doctoral research focuses on Upper Svaneti, specifically examining the impact of the large-scale energy infrastructural projects on the state, its sovereignty, and local practices within the Svaneti region.
