Books and E-Papers - Gender Democracy

This study report "The Human Rights Situation of LGBTI Individuals in Armenia. A Practical Assessment" was prepared by Society Without Violence NGO within the frames of the EU-funded project “Solidarity Network for LGBTI in Armenia and Georgia” implemented by the South Caucasus Regional Office of the Heinrich Boell Foundation.

This publication unites 11 articles written by Armenian, Azerbaijani and Georgian alumni of the HBF SC regional scholarship programme from 2011, 2013 and 2014, which focus on understanding the inherent changes that have occured in the South Caucasus societies recently.

The concept of "gender backlash" encompasses too activities pursued by a multitude of different local initiatives all over Central and Eastern Europe, which strongly promote tradition over equality. In many cases these groups appear to be backed and inspired both by influential US-American “pro life” organisations as well as the Kremlin’s "Gay-rope" propaganda, which aims to discredit the European Union as a place of moral decline.

This is a collection of articles prepared on the basis of lecture series "Who is afraid of feminism in Georgia?" by HBF South Caucasus Regional Office.

In 2013 HBF South Caucasus Regional Office published the first edition of book "Kato Mikeladze: Unknown Stories of Georgian Feminism" to introduce Kato Mikeladze, a feminist activist of the early 20^th century to a wider public and spread the word about the heritage she contributed to the local feminist thought.

This publication is a product of “Addressing Hate Speech in Georgia: A Litmus Test for Human Rights and Social Tolerance” project implemented by the South Caucasus Regional Office of the Heinrich Boell Foundation. This publication has been produced with the assistance of the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia.

This is a publication of materials, a small selection of the papers presented by researchers and activists at the International Conference – Manifold Angles of Gender: Looking through a Magnifying Glass, organized and hosted by the South Caucasus Regional Office of the Heinrich Boell Foundation.

The present publication is a collection of articles preapred for the conference "Addressing hte Needs of Greater Gender Equality in Georgia" held in the frameworks of the EU funded project "Civil Initiative for Equal Participation".
