Ali Malikov is an queer activist and journalist. They are also one of the founders of the feminist-queer platform "Qıy vaar!" and 'Femkulis'. Ali shares stories of queer teachers in urban and rural Azerbaijan and clearly shows the challenges they face on a daily basis, both in their professional and personal lives

Recent protests at Tbilisi State University demonstrated the precarious conditions of students, particularly those from the regions, on the capital’s housing market. Hence, the Georgian government should put students on the agenda of social housing policies and recognize students as vulnerable group eligible for state housing support. 

Our current focus areas in the field of gender are 1) the empowerment of feminist and queer actors and 2) care politics. We collaborate with and provide grants to partners (civil society organizations, activist groups, academic institutions, etc.), but also implement our own activities.

The Georgian LGBTIQ community continues to face stigma, prejudice, and violence because of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and forms of personal expression.

The project aims to support the self-organizing of babysitters and domestic workers to improve their working conditions.
